My Favorite Movies

The Truman Show

The Truman Show

First, I’m going to talk about The Truman Show, an incredible movie that makes us question the truth around us. In this movie we follow the story of Truman Burbank, a thirty-year-old who never left his city. From the beginning of the movie, he begins to discover suspicious events in his daily life. On the street, everyone knows him, every day the same things are repeated, he discovers that his wife lied and is not really married to him, and he finds in the street his father who was supposed to have died during a storm at sea when he was a child. Truman discovers that he is surrounded by actors and that his life is only a television series. He has only one idea in mind, to escape from this place that is not real. I loved this film because I found the script unique and incredible, and Jim Carrey plays his role beautifully.

Shutter Island and Fight Club

Shutter Island Fight Club

About the movies that talk about truth, I also loved Shutter Island and Fight Club.

The Count of Monte Cristo

The Count of Monte Cristo

Recently I saw The Count of Monte Cristo at the cinema, and I loved it. In this movie we follow the story of Edmond Dantès, victim of a plot who is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years of detention at the Château d'If, he manages to escape. Having become immensely rich, he returns under the identity of the Count of Monte-Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him. We follow the different stages of his plan to get revenge, and we are plunged into his character that has radically changed.
